Private View ‘Colourswatch’ at Espacio Gallery 5th June 2014

Dear All,

I am cordially inviting you for the Private view of the group exhibition Colourswatch  where I will be showing one of my installation work on Thursday 5th June 6-9pm in Espacio Gallery in Shoreditch.

Details attached below.
Colourswatch group show details

‘The predetermined colour for the creation of the piece  in the show is ‘rebel’.
The site specific installation, consisting of ready-made A4 black cards, is homage to Kasimir Malevich’s Black Square  from 1915, as a manifesto of utopian thinking.  As he stated, the painted work is no longer simply the imitation of reality, but is this very reality’.
Black predicates latent powers, dictated by rules beyond infinite mathematical dimensions. The gesture of painting in The Peregrination of the Whole was replaced by playful improvisational coordination of ready-made planes- rectangles, lines and spaces in-between– a way of mapping the area within the gallery space’.

CREATIVE CONVERSATIONS: Q-ART OPEN CRIT Griffin Gallery – 29th March 2014

This weekend  I will be presenting my newest work in the Griffin Gallery.

Recent work is based in majority on abstract drawings, using black and red pen on paper. The process of creation oscillates between gesture of child-like intuitive doodles, or primodial geometric elements and highly controlled, quasi-architectonic mapping.

The intuitive drawings as a process of connecting with the inner energy in the body and the outer, so to speak, orchestration of the universal interconnecting energy, provide the possibility for unlimited re-creation, re-construction of the abstract, non-objectified dimension.

Exploration of the New possibilities – Tuning in

My recent work has been inspired by the ongoing exploration of the Harmony and Chaos.

The ‘Series -homage to Plato’ is drawn from the idea of the Platonic Cave, describing what is necessary for us to achieve reflective understanding. But even without it, it remains true that our very ability to think and to speak depends on the Forms.

For the terms of the language we use to get their meaning by “naming” the Forms that the objects we perceive participate in. Ultimately, we are unable to escape or see the higher illusionary reality…

Computer manipulated drawing and photography provide a realm for recreation of the new rules, which can be discovered by tuning in to alignment with who we really are…

This is the footage for the newest experimentation with post-object video based on existing and superimposed  object.

The work is based on constructed objects/sculpture and become prompted by the necessity to work with geometry, pure form and ongoing ‘investigation’ or rather  improvisation based on unconscious references to modernist aesthetics…

Blackness or rather visual silence is a comment on/homage to Malevich’s  Black Square conjoined with a purity of Beethoven’s Symphony no 3  .. and it is providing a platform for critical and fleeting moments of desirability and fixation on the objects..

Work is designed to be exhibited as a wall projection…
